About me

My background is in mechanical engineering. In my first job I worked as a research & development engineer where I engaged in "testing" the parameters of power generation diesel engines.

I then qualified as an industrial valuation surveyor where I developed an expertise in the valuation of large scale oil, gas, petrochemical refineries and power stations for insurance and accounting purposes. Needless to say, this job had taken me all over the world.

Above all else, I am a keen cyclist, more specifically mountain biking. From a young age I have always had an interest in the mechanics of bicycles and in my spare time I would carry out maintenance on my own bikes aswell as for my friends, family and acquaintances.

In 2016, I decided to hang up my suitcase and start a mobile workshop business. Now I am a Cytech certified professional bicycle mechanic, offering local cyclists the convenience and flexibility to maintain their bikes at home, at work or as a collect/return service.

Many of my customers are keen cyclists that ride on a regular basis, but they simply don't have time to carry out regular maintenance themselves or find the local bike shop inconvenient because of work and family commitments. Why should you take time off work, or use your spare time to fix or maintain your bike?

Save yourself time, ride your bike more.

Bike Ranger brings the workshop to you.
